Visiting London in 2014

If you’re a clever traveler you’ll have picked up a deal or two in the January sales - and will have gotten some nice cheap airline or rail tickets and a good hotel for your Winter trip to the UK. Now the last thing you should do is waste money on travel once you get there.

If you’re visiting London as a tourist then there will be plenty to do to keep you busy from an Ice sculpting festival at Canary Wharf in January, a Georgian inspired Valentines Ball at the British library, to a beautiful display of orchids at the Orchid Festival at the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew Gardens in March and for the movie fans, a unique Hogwarts in the Snow event at Warner Bros Studios. For the last one though you will need to travel to Hertfordshire which will take a little over an hour or less if you hire a car.

If you do plan on visiting the capital, and would like to drive around the attractions and to attractions outside of London then its recommended to use a car. If you don’t want to or can’t drive to London then you’ll need to hire a car for your trip. Ideally you should book in advance by using a comparison service such as Car Rentals Network where you can easily secure a cheap car rental deal well in advance of travelling. To ensure you don’t incur any additional unexpected costs then you should take a look at the congestion charge areas of London and plan your routes ahead.
